These videos are from the Falschkanal workshop held by Rüt Rüt from Lithuania at the Festival of Visual Sound in Tallinn.

Falschkanal is a fake TV channel that is made trough collaboration between several visual artists and broadcasted on a bunch of TV sets. Partitioners in this edition of Falschkanal was Rüt Rüt, Instructions and Propaganda. Instruction’s theme for the workshop was “Bad Weather Network”. Date: September 2007.

In the second clip all three participating groups (Rüt Rüt, Propaganda and Instructions) are in the mix. Hectic! (Emer, stay off the Redbull!).

Emmon music video

This is a music video we did for for the lovely artist Emmon. Me (Mike/The Midi Theif), Anders, Mattias Holmer (Shoot Stockholm) and Emma spent some long hours in a green screen studio that is used for “Ordjakten” or was it maybe one of the other cheesy day time word puzzle shows? Then several more hours adding VJ graphics and doing the post edit of the video. We learnt a lot about green screening in combination with video compression and a crash course in how to edit a music video. It was lovely dealing with Emma. Never the less, we said “we’re never doing a music video again” by the end of the project. We just have to see about that… The video was released in april 2007.

Siljaline rehearsal

On the way from Stockholm to Pixelache in Helsinki we decided that it would be a good idea to rehearse in our cabin. So we went down to the conference center to borrow some extension cords. The result is this never seen before documentary footage. Abelton + Modul8 + strobe light + lots of cords + madness. Date: March 29th, 2007.
